I felt a lump in my throat as I pressed “enter” on the calculator and saw the number pop up on the screen.
It was senior year of high school and I was sitting on the floor of my bedroom with several college acceptance letters scattered across the carpet. I was trying to do the math of how much it would cost me to go to each of the schools, and I wasn’t having a fun time.
No matter how I calculated it, it looked like my two options were:
Perhaps the worst part about it all was that I still wasn’t clear on the reason why I was even going to college.
Was I doing it because everyone else was, or because it was actually the right decision for me?
I knew that at the end of the day, I wanted to own my own business. So between sitting on my bedroom floor and that point, I wasn’t quite sure if college was the right vehicle that would get me to where I wanted to go.
Now as a college senior, I can confidently say that I made the right decision -- but it wasn’t going to college that made everything worth it.
It was how I decided to use college that made it worth it.
I witnessed so many of my predecessors leave the college dreamland and enter into the “Real World” without a clue of what to do next -- and nothing to prove that college was worth it besides a piece of paper, a good GPA and a decent looking resume.
Freshman year, I decided that was exactly what I was not going to do, and did everything in my power to find people and resources that could help me get the most out of my college experience.
The funny part was that all of the stuff I discovered which helped me to achieve the most didn’t come from any classroom. It came from unexpected places which, for the most part, were mentors and other people that had helped me out along the way.
You can’t coast through college without a plan and expect everything to turn out okay.
I want to share with you what I discovered… and I am 100% confident that, when correctly applied, the strategies that I will teach you can be the difference between accumulating a pile of debt and discovering a career that makes you happy and motivated for the rest of your life.
But there’s one teeny problem.
I couldn’t fit it all in my book.
So this is why I encourage people to not buy my book from Amazon. It’s because I have more to share and more to help with 🙂
I want to go above and beyond what is in my book by providing you even more resources, knowledge, and insider tips that will help you get to the next level.
But if you go buy my book from Amazon right now, you are never going to get that extra help that could make the difference between a massive success and letting my book sit on your desk and accumulate dust.
I want to prove to you that my book is worth it before you even buy it by adding even more value. If you’re down for that, simply click the button below, grab your free chapter....
